Our mission is to shape the next generation of student-athletes through discipline, knowledge, and inspiration.
Marcus Epps was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA before moving to Orange County his sophomore year of high school, where he attended Edison High School in Huntington Beach. With no scholarship offers coming out of high school, Marcus chose the walk-on route at the University of Wyoming, earning a scholarship through relentless work and becoming a four-year starter and three-year team captain.
Marcus was selected in the 2019 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings and made his way to the Philadelphia Eagles midway through his rookie season. Over the next four years, he became one of the league’s most dependable safeties, helping lead the Eagles to the Super Bowl in 2023.
After two seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders, Marcus spent a brief offseason with the New England Patriots before returning to the Philadelphia Eagles last year. He now enters another season in Philadelphia, bringing veteran leadership, toughness, and a championship-standard mindset back to the Eagles’ secondary.
Marcus is passionate about giving back to the community that shaped him. Through EBS Academy, he aims to build the premier training ground for serious young athletes in Orange County — a program focused on athletic development, academic support, and character growth. His mission is to help the next generation reach their full potential both on and off the field.

Coach Byrd has also been at the spearhead to put on many of the top youth camps, combines, and 7 on 7 tournaments throughout California. Karif is excited continue the great work he has done in the sports training and personal fitness world through EBS Academy!
